I DID manage to get the magnifier to work, Moose, and now it is almost
second nature to me.
I also managed to get reasonable images from the Zuiko 35-70 f/3.6 and
the 35-80 f.2,8; but the 100/2 seems sharpest of all.
It's amazing - when I was lusting after the 35-80 some 15 +_ years ago,
it was priced at $4000 NZ. I bought my current model within the last 12
months for about $350NZ from Japan. Now the Sony E 100-400 which
apparently is razor sharp, is priced at about 4000. I can't see me
getting one.

Yes, Chris, it IS rather desolate and that is not unusual for landscapes
here.
The lighting was pretty terrible, but I was determined to test the 100/2
regardless. It did not disappoint. That subject CAN have some very moody
shots.
Frank, I had a good look at your wonderful 35-80 shots. I presume you
used a tripod, which would have helped with the quality. One thing I
noticed with using the magnifier and hand holding - even against
something solid, was the mini-vibrations the camera was subject to.
1/4000 shutter speed probably helped overcome them.
