I haven't read any of the novels, but I did find the Amazon Prime Video
series worth watching - significantly better than, say, any of the various
CSI series - on a par with (and reminiscent of) Hill Street Blues, for those
with a memory of TV programming in the days of, well, *TV* programming.
Sounds like I need to order the books from .... Amazon?

Oh my! You are in for a treat!

I wish I could forget, then start over again.

Another outstanding author writing mysteries based in LA is Robert Crais.

This is a house of mystery readers. Carol leans toward cozies, and I lean a
little harder, with lots of overlap.

If you need more recommendations, just holler.
