     You may want to afford yourself a copy of "Sun, Moon and Standing Stones" 
by John Edwin Wood (ISBN 0-19-211443-3).  It provides a wealth of information 
about prehistoric stone structures all over the UK.  Stonehenge is jut one of 
dozens.  It's very interesting reading.
