Hi Philippe,
I just read that, with amazement. There are any number of indications
of flight direction in the cockpit. I feel the crew just loaded a
faulty flight plan and followed directions from the computerized system
as opposed to flying the airplane.
That's a far cry from what I was taught 50 years ago!
