I'm now temporarily working out of another office space. We've got 200
people "hot-bunking" desks here. Second floor of probably the
wiggliest building in town. I can cause a 4.0 just doing jumping jacks
in this building. Anyway, when the 4.8 hit, the hanging florescent
light fixtures were swinging back and forth a foot or two. This will
be fun... And we're on the far south end of town too. Almost to
Turnagain Arm. (nice, long commute).

Most of the road and bridge damage is fixed. They've got three bridge
repairs to finish up at Eagle River (3 out of 4 were damaged) over the
next couple of days and we'll be back to normal. The pace of road
repair is impressive. In the case of the Minnesota Drive on-ramp
collapse, they had heavy equipment out there digging just an hour or
two after the quake. It's all done now, repaved and back in service.
At eagle river, the ground on the south end of the two Glen Highway
bridges did a bit of a heave and dip. They got the northbound fixed
last night and rumor has it that the southbound will be fixed before
Monday. Not sure about the Eagle River Loop bridge as that damage was
caused by a broken water main that washed out the culvert running
across the road. They've been working on that 24 hours a day, though.
Good thing, because it REALLY messes up my commute.
