It's pretty yummy! My "go to" tele-zoom, until I picked up the 35-100/2 for 
about the same price as a 50-200 SWD. I'm still liking it for its reach.

Be sure to get the SWD version, which still commands an extra $200 or so in the 
used market, but which is MUCH faster focusing.

Another nit for macro fiends: the RF-11 macro ring flash only fits the non-SWD 
version. I don't understand why the heck they had to change the lens hood 
bayonet mount between the two, which have the same filter size.
