Sorry to hear about your wife, hope you get your life back on the rails
(that is a Dutch saying, English/ American too?). Photography will
certainly help ;-).

I'm very happy using many OM Zuiko's on my A7/ A7r2. The EVF is fantastic
because of the image magnification with manual focus lenses, and the option
to review your image on a bright day (which renders the back screen quite
useless imho). I don't look to much for DOF myself, just make sure I have
in focus what I want.

Great thing about the modern A7 bodies is their IBIS, what Fuji camera's
lack (except for the newest model, which is close to the A7iii in price;
too close I think, in weight and dimensions as well). So with the A7III you
get stabilisation with every Zuiko you use. It is not as good as Olympus'
latest offering, but far better then nothing.

Third party lens offerings are increasing for Sony too, more then for Fuji
btw.

For low light currently the A7iii is the one to beat it seems, for macro I
would have a serious look in M43. Options like in-camera stacking I find
great to use. And the smaller sensor means you get more magnification out
of your Zuiko's. The IBIS is very good which comes in handy as it gets
darker when you magnify.

Even an older e-m1 has image stacking, for the price of the Sony 90mm macro
you buy one plus the 60mm and have a very capable macro kit. The weight is
even comparable, with 620 g for the Sony 90mm and 685 for the e-m1 + 60mm
2.8 macro ;-).

So why not have both? ;-)
