I have much, if not all, of the same stuff excepting only the original
Olympus boxes.
How much of the total package value might be attributable to the
original product boxes?
Much of the value could be attributed to the condition of the gear in
conjunction with the original boxes/packaging. When it ends up on eBay as
individual pieces, the total it sells for will be many times the purchase price
on this auction. I called ebth.com to quiz them about the shipping and they
attributed it to using a third party shipper. The package weighs 54 pounds.
Over $200 to ship it is outrageous. Just shipped a printer last week that
weighed 50 lbs and it was $75. Their high shipping just leaves less on the
bones for someone who wants an 85mm f2 and is willing to piece the kit out to
make their cost on the pieces they want somewhere near zero or less. Bill
