You can buy household appliances now that are Internet connected
devices. Everything from thermostats, smoke detectors, stoves,
refrigerators, washers, dryers, to microwave ovens. Let's not forget
televisions, DVD players, webcams, and oodles of other things.
A couple weeks ago, the Spokeswoman-in-Chief said something in an
interview about microwave ovens spying on you. Of course, everybody
and their brother turned it into a meme and mocked her to no end.
Turns out that it is true that these new internet connected microwave
ovens CAN be hacked. Granted, they may not have cameras, but they do
have microphones. I've now seen it done.
Don't hold your breath waiting for CNN to issue an apology.
