I store mine in the open on a shelf in my darkroom. Periodically, I do
take them and set them out in the sun to get some UV light in them for
a few minutes a couple times a year.
I found a spot in one of the gift F2 lenses that arrived that way. I
set that one out in the sun more often and there has been no
additional growth in the four years I've had it.
I generally do not store my equipment closed up in camera bags. When
at home, the bags stay open and half the stuff is spread out on my
table driving my wife nuts.
