Hi Ken,
I normally use my wifes hairdryer and place foil around the
bits I dont want to heat up in the PCB, its quicker, I normally
find 95% of problems are around the graphics chip on both
Lenovo's and Sony laptops.
I had a dodgy Sony come in a pre christmas, might
try the oven idea this time as its not just fratzed graphics
but also it's not booting properly and its not a software
problem.
