Rule of thumb for me is to buy Macs with as little RAM as possible, and
then add OWC's RAM later. Last time I did it I saved a good bit of money. I
could also recommend a smaller fusion drive, and a USB3 external HD for
storing stuff that you don't need high-speed access to.
