15mph?! Chris has been pulled up for breaking the 60kph speed limit around here 
- at 5am. Without motor assistance. Let off with a caution although there’s a 
couple of downhills where he claims to have done better. The cop seemed quite 
amused and/or bored, he reported.

Road matters
I did have a classic Australian conversation the other day. On my way home from 
work on Sunday, there was a breath test unit operating. Here, they close down 
the road and if they stop you, they have to test you - to avoid any possible 
favoritism. I got the third cop in line, fortysomething, bored, ruddy and hot 
(warm day). I leaned out of the window and smiled -
“Have you had anything to drink today sir?”
“Yes, I had one beer just before I left work.”
Very looking pause -
“Was it really cold?”
“Oh yes…"
