Julia and I had a 10-day trip to Brittany from which we returned last Sunday.  
The weather was cool, but sunny with only a couple of days of rain, sporadic 
and that.  It was a great break and refreshed our love of France and of 
Brittany in particular.

We took the ferry from Portsmouth, on the south coast, to St Malo; we stayed 
for 3 nights in hotels and 7 in a cottage followed by a last night in a hotel 
in Dinan.  I can recommend this part of the world for a visit; we had excellent 
food and wine and the scenery is delightful.  It�s called the Pink Granite 
Coast and we recognised the same granite from our holiday in Sardinia about 10 
years ago.
