Our Sun-Wed-Fri local newspaper still covers court actions and police
reports. But most of the names I know show up in the obituaries.

No. The city has been overhauling their web pages, and the crime/accident
page has been deleted. And there's no mention of it in the local news media.
The
trend over the years has been to minimise public access to crime statistics.
I did manage to find a city crime statistics page, but it's only updated
on an annual basis. It used to be kept current as crime reports were made.
