Hi Paul,

Nice images, quite a variety. It's a shame about the lighting in Dick Biondi's portrait. Have you thought about converting to B&W to minimize the color distractions?

I attended a concert last weekend of classic 60's Chicago bands all playing

of the Emcee's was the legendary Dick Biondi, a classic rock radio DJ who
is still on the air here in Chicago at 82.

The word "legend" truly applies to Dick - back in the golden era of top-40
AM radio, he was one of the kings. If Biondi played your record, things
were going to happen. He was also the first DJ in the country to play the
Beatles on the air.

This photo is less-than-ideal because of the fairly unhappy lighting at the
venue, which is very heavy on the LED's. We share a lot of common friends,
and I'm working on getting permission to to to the radio station one night
and spend a half-hour or so photographing him "at work", something I
really, really want to do.

The weather has warmed up a bit here (then gone straight back down, then
up, then down, then up, then down...), enough that Kermit woke up and found
his way back to our pond. The cool thing is that he's apparently
comfortable around us now, and no longer jumps the second we come into
view. In fact, I was working on the pond lighting the other night, about10"
from his nose, and he just sat there and stared at me. So, I grabbed the
camera, and shot a few. I also put the 12-50 into macro mode and tried to
get some real closeups, but I learned that his comfort zone is about 3" and
then he's had enough. So, no macros yet.

I had to walk across a bridge over the Fox River to get to the concert
venue. The city hasn't planted the concrete planter boxes yet, so a goose
decided that it made a perfectly good bed for the evening. He/she looked a
bit unhappy that I was walking by, but stayed put and let the weirdo with
the camera grab a shot.

Enjoy! C&C Encouraged.
