Well, it's an interesting development, of late, that has me swimming in
heritage Four-Thirds equipment. An E-1, E-3 and the DMC-L1 are all gracing
my digital bag. It has been a bit cold out and my work schedule too
grueling to do some mid-winter outdoor shooting, but I've been doing some
test stuff indoors.

Contrary to Moose's belief, I'm not always 20-steps behind the times with
EVERYTHING. Trust me, my day job keeps me on my toes trying to stay five
years ahead of the curve. And breaking down and spending my $10 per month
on Creative Cloud has been great.

Right up front, I have to state that there is only one raw converter that
gets the DMC-L1 files right, and that ISN'T Adobe ACR. But the
latest/greatest converter (2013?) for the E-1 and E-3 have finally gotten
"close-enough". The colors are certainly richer than before, but still just
a little more plasticy than Olympus' converters.

In my experimenting, I'm finding that with the exception of the tendency
towards plastic colors, everything else about Lightroom conversion is
blowing away the Olympus converters for E-1/E-3 files. When trying to keep
"natural", Olympus is better, but when heavy-handed manipulation is
involved, they just aren't holding up. This is really evident with
noise-control. The latest/greatest Adobe converter is rocking the E-1 files
and I'm getting at least one, if not closer to two stops of improvement in
noise control.
