I forgot to mention that these flash shots are helped by the cave 
surfaces all being nearly on the same plane and fairly evenly 
illuminated.  The unremitting inverse-square law (and camera mounted 
flash) are probably the principal reasons for (justifiably) thinking 
flash is evil.
