I know I'm late, but it's been a long holiday. I worked at the casino
from Noon until 1AM on Tuesday, and again today from 11AM until 4:30pm.

And my offering for the New Year's Day shot. When I got home today, my
wife and I met with an old high school friend of mine and her family.
Now, we were never boyfriend and girlfriend (although I kind of wanted
to), but we were good friends. I reconnected with her on Facebook
several years ago, but hadn't actually seen her in person since I
graduated in 1980. She and her husband now live in Edmonton, and,
through a weird twist of fate, her father moved from Steeleville and now
lives in Valparaiso as well...
They were going to be in town yesterday and today visiting her dad, so
we arranged for all of us to meet at the local Starbucks after dinner to
catch up. My wife and I sat down with Vicki and her husband Scott and
daughter Katie.
We all had a great time, and realized just how much we all had in
common. However, getting a photo was a challenge, since she's been
photo-averse for a long time. But I wore her down and got a shot of her
with her daughter in mid-conversation, one of her husband, and then at
the insistence of her daughter who really wanted a family shot, I got
everyone together before we left.
