Thanks to everyone! I have been reading a few reviews, including
customer reviews on Amazon. As several folks have indicated, Brother
printers seem to be a better deal. There is a Brother 5470dw on big sale
now at the usual outlets. It looks like it will fit the bill nicely. The
major customer complain on Amazon is that its initial warmup surge can
trip modern circuit breakers that include Ground Fault Interrupt
protection. My house is old enough not to have them, we just have
ordinary circuit breakers, and GFI outlets in the bathrooms. So I think
I will be OK. Everything else sounds great, and the toner is much less
expensive than HP.
