This sounds nuts! The image came out of the camera as sRGB or aRGB, those are
the only choices. Somewhere after that,
the actual color space or the tags got messed up.
Converting back is wrong, the color spaces are different enough that color will
be lost/distorted.
You must go back and process again, paying more attention to settings/choices,
if you want to get it right.
