One doesn't really need much of a calculator for arc tan but could use
the first two terms (in most cases--max of 3 terms) in a Taylor series
and do with any calculator or by hand on on the back (dare I say) on
inside out film box.
Arc Tan(x) = x−(x** 3)/ 3 +(x **5)/ 5 - ...... (in radians and
then convert to deg)

If you use the Windows calculator in scientific mode you will not see
ArcTan listed as a function on the keys. To compute ArcTan click the
"Inv" (inverse) setting above the function keys and then click the
"tan" button.
