Hi, Y'all-
The original seems to have more detail visible in the darker areas. Is that 
something that can be tweaked on the newer ACR version?

Your are quite welcome, Tina.  After the Auto White Balance, you can tweak it 
with Temperature and Tint sliders if desired.  Works on jpegs and tiffs too.
