Image is clearly better but the saddle doesn't look any more
comfortable. Use of wood reminds me of
the Mongul saddles used by Genghis Khan and crew. They don't look any
more comfortable than the ones depicted in the image. The little Mongul
horses and saddles have changed little.
Genghis Khan is known to have stated:: "It is easy to conquer the
world from the back of a horse".
Have ridden for 10 hrs before with nice endurance saddles on a
not-too-wide horse with very comfortable gaits and was little the
worse for wear after.
