I cannot speak to the Tamron lenses, but you and others have praised
them a lot. I would certainly agree that it doesn't focus close
enough. Between that and the rather stilted focal-length range on the
wide-end and it's just short of perfection. Close, but we'll have to
just stick with "legendary".

I'm not sure that you would ever really like it. So much of the
goodness of this lens is in the "intangibles". Either the lens speaks
to you or it doesn't. No different, really, than other camera systems
and such. I could draw the parallel with your camera purchases. I'd
suggest that your 60D resulted in a body of work which overall is not
very "Moose Like". However, with the OM-D, you're back at it in full
force. Based on what I see of your 60D images, I'd never buy one. But
seeing your OM-D shots, there is that nagging feeling that I could get
results like that too.

Alas, I could possibly like it, but also not. I might pay $100 for
one, just to see if I can see that magic myself, but that's my limit.
