Bought my wife an LX5 for christmas. <$300 with all the extras. She seems to like it fine. I haven't got to use it but it is a nice little, pocketable camera and I personally must have 24mm equiv. XZ1 is not in the same price range. Not even close. No bang for the extra bucks. XZ2 even more.
