You did indicate that you weren't sure, so maybe you would like to consider
York to Bolingbroke, Richard II Act2 Scene 3?

Although Andrew's use of peculiar might seem odd (peculiar!) to you, it
doesn't seem so to me, and seems to be in accord with dictionaries over here
as well as over there - so what's wrong?

Of course, "peculiar" as a noun has a very specific meaning, and in that
sense is certainly odd, but nothing wrong with that!

I don't really disagree with anything you said except "peculiarly" and I
don't disagree so much as don't know but suspect you don't really know
either.
