Not quite, Iwert, the wheel change was at Brest-Litovsk, the Soviet border
(nowadays the Belarusian border) with Poland. We were required to de-train
for the procedure, and duly repaired to the station buildings.  I can assure
you that the men's "facilities" showed no sign of having been cleaned since
1917.

Thanks for the compliment - the original has been cropped after scanning on
a Nikon 4000ED. I suspect that helped the quality significantly!

Indeed, and the carriages also changed wheels at the Russian border if I
remember correctly.
