Would there be 220v modeling lights with the same base available elsewhere?
Doesn't Buff sell those overseas? What does he do?

Hey! They're just lights! Try some less expensive but very good Paul
C. Buff gear. <http://www.paulcbuff.com/index.php>

You can go for the low end of the line as I do and buy Alien Bees
<http://www.paulcbuff.com/index.php>
Or even go for the more rugged build White Lightning. They might well
cost you (for new lights) less than the Elinchrom conversion. Then sell
the Elinchroms.

The Bees are limited to 150 watt modeling lights, the White Lightning
will take 250 watts. 120 volts only. No voltage switch.
