A couple of short sections of US 301 in northern Florida can still be 
hazardous to your wallet.  Two little towns on US 301 (Waldo and Lawty) 
are happy to supplement the town's coffers with anyone caught going even 
slightly over the posted limits which rapidly fluctuate up and down for 
no apparent reason... or speed up as you go up the overpass hill and 
suddenly drop on the other side.  See:

This is on our preferred travel route and it's just a minor nuisance. 
The towns are so small it doesn't take more than a few minutes to get 
through them.  Some generous folks (motorists no doubt) have posted 
"speed trap" billboards to warn the unwary.

The AAA link above shows the billboards and also mentions several other 
"strict enforcement" areas in Florida and other states.
