Thanks for the Welcome Ken. It's actually a welcome back. I used to be
active on the list maybe 8-10 years ago. Then the computer I read the list
on crashed hard and I lost info on the list and access to the email address
I used to subscribe to the list. Recently, I found a backup of that system
and was able to get back on the list.

Oh I remember AG and a few other names that come across the list.

Another job isn't really an option for me so I'll probably keep some of the
better lenses, the Zuiko and Tamron primes, but I don't see me going back to
film, so I think I'm going to sell all of the OMs and accessories.

Good to hear about the AF. Nothing pisses me off more than missing "the
shot" while I wait for the AF to hunt.

Johnie

Welcome!

now.

The OM-D E-M5 is getting a bit long-in-the-tooth. The OM-E F-M6 should be
coming out in the next few months.

Great and correct isn't always the same thing. Beware of the misinformation
from that "AG Schnozz" guy. He's kinda scary.

Keep that puppy. It'll go up, up, up in value.

while.

No pre-nup?

> The AF is my biggest concern.

No need to be concerned. The AF in this camera screams. It's as good as all
but the current Canon/Nikon pro-grade DSLRs. Notice I said "current". It's
REALLY good. I think the Canon 7D is still quite a bit better, but the E-M5
is good enough for all but the most serious of sports applications.

> Is the MF-2 worth the cost? I've got some nice OM Zuiko and Tamron lenses.

As a person who uses OM lenses on E-bodies, I will say "absolutely!"
Don't sell you glass until you've given it a good try. You'll find that some
of the OM lenses render (draw) pictures so radically differently than any
modern glass. It's not just F-stops and Focal Lengths either. The OM
35-80/2.8 is an example of a lens which has no equals. Same with the F2
lenses.

Take on a part-time job at McDonalds or delivering pizzas for a couple of
months. Use that to buy the new gear before who push out all the old OM
stuff.

> BTW, what are the rules about selling on the list?

75% discount to list-members. First dibs on everything. Beware of that
free-loader mentioned above. ;)
