To all my friends in the US on this list, happy Independence Day!
Both my children were born in the US, I lived there for many years before
returning to Europe in 1995, and I go back with pleasure when I can.
And to tie it back to my "other" country, this year is the 100th anniversary of
the largest July 4th celebration outside the US:
