Sodium and variants, are used in soda pop as a flavor enhancer as well as a
tonal stabilizer for the taste buds. Without it, not enough of the taste
buds get activated and all you would taste is a sickening sweet.

The amount of sodium that is listed on the beverage container includes the
portion which is naturally occuring in the other ingedients.

I love how the anti-coke crowd uses the list of those hundreds of cancerous
chemicals in the ingredience list. Check out the list that is in plain
filtered water.
