Mystery partly solved -- I have now found the missing posts (272 of them).
The reason that I could not find them previously was due to operator error.
I was looking in the spam folder for my primary account (the one that has my
real name, and which I exposed on the internet during my salad days [I am
wiser now]). That account is the one that receives all of the spam. But OM
list posts go to my OlySimian account, and that was where the missing posts
were.
Of the 272 posts, virtually all of them were either from Ken (206 posts plus
2 emails), or quoted posts from Ken (62 posts). But there were two posts
that fell into neither category; these were from SCTroy and quoted only
urls. Quite why the BT Internet spam filter has taken it into its mind to
start classifying all of these posts as spam remains a mystery. The BT spam
filter is supposed to be trainable -- by repeatedly marking particular
emails as "not spam", the filter is supposed eventually to recognise the
difference between those emails and true spam. So I will need to do that
for the next few weeks.
Thank you to those who made suggestions (and to Ken, who sent two emails
directly to me, both of which ended up in the spam folder).
