Sorry so late to say Happy New Year. Very busy in Dec 2011 for the B&W
exhibition which was held by my tutor and my classmates of B&W enlarging
printing course. Fortunately, it was successfully ^^

Now, I'm busy to prepare the examination next week for my study and it'll
be the last examination. It's not easy for 3 years part time study but
nearly achieved.

I'm so busy but I still keep on photography. Recently, I have sold my
seldom use Hasselblad system to change 3 brass lenses for my 4x5 system. I
got 2 lenses since the wide angle one is under modification for infinity
focus. It's because the distance of the shortest length of bellow of my 4x5
machine + Ilex #5 shutter is too long as fail to focus at infinity.

The first one is Wray London Wide Angle Rectilinear (W.A.R.) 6in F16,
W.A.R. designed by Dallmeyer in 1866 and re-developed to Rapid Rectilinear.
Mine one was made by Wray London, which cover 8x10 ^^

F16 is not too difficult for focus in day light but I can estimate how
difficult in low light environment :(

I like to take B&W films with these old brass lenses :)

Color is pretty good too.

The second one is Goerz berlin Doppel-Anastigmat Serie III No.3 210mm
F6.8, which designed in 1892 and renamed to "Dagor" in 1902. F6.8 for 12in
or shorter focal length & F7.7 for 14in or longer focal length. 3+3 design
(2+2 for W.A.R.) with faster speed is modern design in 19 century. There
were many versions due to were made in many countries, such as Germany,
U.S.A., Switzerland ........... but earliest Goerz Berlin version is the
most popular.

According to 1940 catalog of Goerz, which can cover 8x10 at F45

Mine one is earliest Goerz Berlin version ^^

As a comment from a China professional brass lenses user: earliest Berlin
version: image with a lot of details, implicit (color?), high reducibility.
(I try to translate, maybe not pretty good :-( )
