Please refer all questions to the Japanese translator. And spare a thought
for them trying to pronounce the bl**dy word, givne that Japanes, as I
understand it, has but one liquid consonant.

What on earth does the "literally" mean?  What part does it play in that
sentence?

That word was so useful before ignoramuses started using it for emphasis,
ignoring its meaning.
