Economical value would depend on other factors. Which mount, general going
rate on them, etc. Decent lens, but unless you are really going to be using
this lens, at this point I probably wouldn't bother since it will continue
to decline in price/popularity.

My AT-X 100-300/4, which I acquired from another listmember, has turned out
to be a surprisingly decent lens. At F4 it is a touch weak in contrast, but
at F5.6 and F8 the lens is pretty much world-class. I'm using it for all of
my moon shots on the digital wonderbricks. No complaints there. But
wide-open, the 300/4.5 just bodyslams it into the ground.
