Twice in the last 24 hours as I have been visiting reputable web-sites, a
notice from Avast! Free Antivirus has popped up telling me that it had just
trapped an item of malware, and how lucky I am to be using Avast. The pop-
up included a link to an Avast page where I was offered Avast at $30/an.
I now suspect they are running a hard-sell campaign based on scare tactics.
And a note to Chris about Leighton Smith's professionalism as a radio
broadcaster. He's on talk-back radio, and his audience like him hugely.
He is witty, smart, quick, and interesting. If a Minister of the Crown is
behaving like an idiot, Leighton will tell the nation in just so many words.
Nobody in the world is immune from scathing words if they deserve it.
Similarly, if praise is deserved, it is dished out on a silver platter.
