300 dpi is generally considered what's required in order to not see dots 
at typical reading distance (about 10-12 inches or 25-30cm).  That works 
for everybody but Moose who has Superman vision.

As you move further away as you naturally do with larger prints the 
print resolution requirement diminishes.
