Not facetious - that's survival advice. We get very large fast
saltwater crocs lurking beaches in the far north as well as the
estuaries. The locals take a dog because crocs LOVE dog. Gives you a
chance to get away, especially if you go for a swim - some of the
strange folk who live up there have gone through 3-4 dogs.
