Why one might choose a "4" over a "2n", esp. for macro work:

- Mirror/aperture prefire.

- Adjustable diopter.

- TTL connector.

- Built-in hot shoe, one less gadget/connection to go wrong.

I happily used a 2n as my primary camera for many years. I find the 4 to 
have practical advantages.
