I absolutely concur with this. The older Silvernosed Zuikos tend to be
better for B&W photography than the MC Blacknosed varieties. This is
generally seen with shadow details where Zone I-II values will lift.
Hmm. Maybe this is why I've been able to get along OK with Velvia, because
my lenses are less contrasty and give a bit more detail in the shadows.
