Impressively nice and illustrative images.  Thanks for posting them, 
CH.  I have enjoyed using the 50-250
for landscapes with my shot filled bean bag. It will be more useful as 
a stealth telephoto
with digital film or Portra 400 VC-3 or NC-3.

Yes, the bokeh of the 50-250 is not that pretty:

It is okay if you can avoid a busy background and shoot at the long end:

The edge to edge sharpness of the 50-250 at all focal lengths make it a 
good

lens for landscapes.

Tamron 70-210/3.5 and 60-300 are the lenses I would like to try but at
the monent I have a 65-200 waiting to test :-)
