A jobo would be better than a minilab, but there is no substitute for a good 
dip n dunk line that is well monitored. The large tanks hold more chemistry 
that buffers the solutions and makes sudden or wild changes mostly 
imposssible.

If no one in your idyllic state still has a dnd line, move.
