Mostly, I just HAD to level the horizon. :-)

You caught me on the horns of a dilemma. Working with a full size, 
unprocessed RAW image, I would have been able to isolate the foliage 
from the water fairly easily. Then I could adjust the water/reflections 
separately. At the web size, Select Color wasn't working adequately, 
mostly, I think due to the sharpening halos around the foliage bits and 
pieces. So I'd have had to work through at the pixel level.

Nothing wrong with the sharpening. It looks right to me at 100%. 
However, it makes some kinds of further processing very difficult. You 
can see the halos easily enough at 300%.

I decided instead to just let the foliage in front of the water go dark, 
and bring the rest of that clump down to match.
