To anyone interested, I've seen my first 50-250 which has the same
frosted element problem found in the 65-200. Surface of the element
(2nd from rear, LC0958) looks and feels sandblasted and "may" be caused
by oil migrating into the lens tube. Affected element in 65-200 is 3rd
from rear, LC0896. Warning, these lenses may self destruct in 15 years.
