I just checked the Nikon D200 owner's manual and the "monitor" (Nikon's 
term) will display flashing overexposed highlight areas in the image if 
the "highlight" option is selected on the "Display mode" setup screen. 
See page 141 of the manual.  There is no equivalent for underexposed 
shadow areas.
