Chuck,
Clean install!! One thing you could do would be to copy the old drive to
a partition on the new machine for archive purposes. HD space on the new
box will probably easily fit the old drive. Or you probably have room
for at least two IDE devices so you could also just stick in the old
drive if there is only a DVD or pull one IDE device temporarily and copy
the drive to a partition. Did I understand correctly that your old box
ran W2k and the new one ships with XP? If so you must reinstall.
