I remember being forced to play squash with the school,
against another school, and being unable to hit that
little ball, even when serving. My then rigidly introverted
and cringingly insecure self suffered the humiliation of
having all the kids from the the other school begging to
be the next to play against me.
Fortunately, now that I'm past the mid-30's and approaching
my 40's, I have matured, so my introversion and insecurity
is far more complicated and on a much higher plane. :-)
