Field of view expressed in degrees.  Olympus typically gives the field 
of view across the diagonal of the frame which IMHO is a totally useless 
number.  There are various calculators available free on the web which 
will give you both the horizontal and vertical angles of coverage for a 
lens of given focal length and film or sensor of a given size.

If you see a specification such as 34-7deg it's telling you the field of 
view is 34 degrees at the wide angle end of the zoom and 7 degrees at 
the telephoto end.
